There are so many varieties of weeds it is ridiculous. They all tell their little story though.
This can make it helpful to eradicate them.
Herbacides will get rid of todays weed, but they further weaken the soil
making next years, or even later this years problem worse.
This is why weeds are there in the first place.
They are telling you that there are problems in the soil.
Leave them alone for a thousand years and the soil will become beautiful.

The proper way to get rid of weeds on a lawn is to make your soil better
for growing grass than it is for weeds.
The grass will take over and choke the weed by robbing the weed
of sunlight and rootspace.
Grass grows earlier in the season and at a cooler temperature
than weeds, so grass gets a head start on the weed seed.
Make your soil healthy and able to support a nice thick grass
and weeds are history.




 

   What I am promoting for weed control is this,

The best way to keep away the weeds is to have soil with conditions better for growing grass than for growing weeds.

 Keep a nice thick grass which grows at a cooler climate, therefore earlier in the growing season and weed seeds from last year will not have the root space nor the sunlight to thrive. Even the popular do-it-yourself chemical company has advertised this on TV. The problem is that their product will not feed the soil to keep the grass thick enough to accomplish this.

They now advertise a product that is supposed to be drought tolerant and claims it will keep your grass green later in the fall and will green up earlier in the spring than anyone else's.

 I guess they do not know about my company. YET!!!!!

  Back to weeds. Let's take crab grass for instance. Many people use a chemical weed killer. Yes today's crabgrass will die, but they have already dropped hundreds of seeds from each blade.And more importantly, life forms in your soil are also killed making it easier for more weeds to return next year as the soil is even worse for growing grass.The answer? 

  Create healthy soil that grows grass easily, and your weeds will be smothered away. THEY WILL NOT GET THE SUNLIGHT, NOR THE ROOT SPACE NECESSARY TO GROW. PROBLEM SOLVED SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY. And there are several non toxic formulas to kill existing weeds that work very well, are easy to apply, and will not hurt the soil like chemicals will.

  Many lawns have areas that do not even have weeds. You should know that your soil is in pretty bad shape when it cannot even grow weeds. Many people have areas, or even lawns of moss. This is telling you your soil is so dead that nothing else will grow. It has little to nothing to do with lack of sunlight or pH problems.

THE SOIL NEEDS TO BE PROPERLY FERTILIZED!

  Organic fertilizers also heal the organisms that fight disease, thus distracting insects that damage and kill your grass, plants, trees, shrubs and veggie gardens. These organic soil conditions also create a more friendly atmosphere for the beneficial insects, such as ladybugs, which feed on troublesome lawn pests.

People will buy these type of beneficial insects, yet becuse of the conditionof their soil, they immediately leave. They can handle only so much. 

Even if food is abundant, sometimes conditions get so bad, the bad guys win.  The soil is the only hope.
