
Red Thread
While some disease and insect problems are related to hot, dry conditions,
red thread thrives in warm damp conditions.
Also known as pink patch, red thread has a similar look as rust, but more of a pink hue,
and the tips of the blade shrivel looking like thread.
It is most common in the humid Northeast and rainy Northwest.
Chemical lawns with thatch build up are breeding grounds for fungi, including red thread.
