Natural, Organic Fertilizers VS. Chemikills

So many customers, when I first look at their lawns, tell me

" I used to have the best lawn in the neighborhood!

Now, no matter what I try, or who I hire, these are the results I get.

WHY? WHAT IS WRONG"?

The answer is the same. Your soil is dead. Chemicals have killed all the microscopic living creatures in your soil and it can no longer support life, and protect them from disease and insects.

Their trees and bushes are dying from disease and infested with insects. The soil cannot properly feed them nor protect them from disease and the insects attracted to diseased plant matter. The brown spots on leaves, leafless branches, holes chewed in leaves from insects. Many think the shrubs are old and need to spend big bucks to replace them. I explain to them that the bushes, shrubs, trees will out live us and they merely need to be fed properly by the soil they grow in. Mossy patches in the lawn are the same thing. The soil is just so dead, that this is all that will grow there.

It never fails how amazed they are at how quickly not only the grass, but their trees, shrubs, bushes, and flowers bounce back and start looking better than they ever expected. Better than the new ones you find in garden centers.      Read on and learn why.

There is a world of difference between natural, organic fertilizer sand chemical or synthetic fertilizers.

Fertilizer makes something fertile. In this case it is the soil that needs to be fertile. Chemical "fertilizers" do not do that. Therefore, they are actually NOT fertilizers.

Under federal law, however, anything that comes from the earth can legally be called organic. So, the word organic has become what philosophers would call a weasel word.

There are many landscapers that will ensure you that their "fertilizers" are indeed organic. While they know their product is not what you want, they also know that you probably do not know the difference and have no legal recourse if you later find out.

So, the question you want to ask is, IS IT ALL NATURAL?!? Also Ask yourself "how much carbon is in the fertilizer"?

Is there a good balance of nutrients, major and minor, and carbon in the fertilizer?  Not all natural fertilizers have a good blend. Many highly advertised and extremely expensive natural fertilizers have so little of some nutrients that they are either not a good blend or it would require an astronomical amount to grow all the grass, plants and trees in your yard. Ours do as we want you to succeed.

My philosophy is that if your yard grows well, our business will grow (pun intended) by your repeat business, recommendations, and reputation. We have already built a very good reputation in a few locales, now it is time to really "grow", and the world wide web (www) is the vehicle for just that.

As I said, chemicals are not actually fertilizers. They simply dissolve in water and go directly to the roots of the plant. There is NOTHING for the soil. There is little to no carbon to feed the soil and the plant and there are no minor nutrients and only a few synthetic major nutrients.

The life forms that do not get poisoned by the chemicals, starve from not being fed nutrients and CARBON. Carbon is the basic building block of ALL life on earth. Every living thing needs a large amount of carbon to live and thrive.

Without a good supply of carbon, everything dies and the soil becomes lifeless and compacted. There is no immune system to fight disease, and disease attracts insects. The soil has no beneficial bacteria to decompose thatch and grass clippings nor are all the microbes there to aerate the soil.

Our natural, organic fertilizers on the other hand have a proper balance of carbon along with major and minor nutrients that feed the soil and the soil feeds the plants. Just like it has been doing since the beginning of time.

Within a few weeks of our first fertilizing on your yard, not only will every plant, tree, and blade of grass show a notable improvement, but you will notice a change in the soil itself.

Whether your soil conditions are sandy like in many parts of the country, including New England, or mostly clay as it is in many parts of the country including California, organic fertilizer will correct these conditions. You will notice the top layer of soil getting darker and softer. More pliable, easy to soak in water. This is because now you have feed the organisms in the soil what they need to grow, thrive and reproduce.

Good bacteria, which feeds on disease causing bacteria, for instance, reproduces in as little as two hours. In fact, in healthy soil, there are millions of tiny life forms in every single gram of soil.

In healthy soil, there are more tiny living creatures in every handful of  soil than there are people on earth!!

If you are having problems on your lawn, in your soil, there are not so many!

And take a look at your shrubs, trees, plants. See brown spots on the leaves? This is disease, which attracts insects. Just like sick, weak zebra attracts the lions in the jungle. Chemical landscapers will try to tell you (at least in New England ) that dead and spotted leaves on many plant is the result ofwinter kill. No!  The cold has only frozen what was already dead, just as the cold would freeze an extremity that had no blood coursing through it.

Also, the difference in garden yields between chemicals and OUR organic fertilizing is incredible. With a much improved root system and the availability of all the major and minor nutrients in the soil with OUR fertilizing, in the proper amounts, not only does the amount increase, but the size, flavor crispness of fruits and veggies is MOUTH WATERING.

You want a quality lawn, a quality yard?

Healthy soil is your one, and only, permanent solution.
