Crummy Crabgrass
Oh, crabgrass. What to do, what to do. You have tried all sorts of things, yet every year,
It comes back! And comes back! And comes back!
Maybe worse every year.
There has been a gazillion of chemical feed and weed formulas
sold year after year, yet every year, the problem comes back, and gets worse.
The reason is these chemicals hurt the soil more.
The crabgrass is there because the soil is damaged and cannot
support grass very well in the first place. More damage surely isn't the solution.
Some companies sell, and some books recommend what is called a pre-emergent.
The theory is that with the high amount of nitrogen,
it will burn the baby crabgrass when they start to grow.
I was going to try it one of the first years in business,
I sat down and figured things out and realized,
If I put this product on a lawn with all that slow release nitrogen,
What in the world will I use to give the lawn all the other nutrients it needs?
This is why it does not work well if at all.
I say at all as the crabgrass comes back for people that do use it.
Probably because with all that nitrogen, one cannot give
their soil all the other nutrients needs.
I have found crabgrass extremely easy to get rid of
And it does not come back!
Same with nutsedge or quack grass.
Very eash to eliminate permenantly using only natural means.
Look around the website. There is much information if you look.
Learn about the soil and why proper organic fertilizer
or fertilizing organically will improve your soil and not only your grass
will grow better, but your entire yard will improve dramatically.
