Fresh seed
sprinkled on 1/2"deep quality soil on a piece of sheetmetal without
fertilizer. 7days.

People often show me areas on their lawn that they have never been able to grow grass. For instance, in the shady, mossy areas between houses, around sheds, under pine trees, tree belts salted by snow plows, and more. The fact is, Our organic methods, materials work so well that sometimes grass grows where we thought was never possible!

This lawn is next to a pond. This was some of the sandiest and small rockiest soil imaginable for a yard.
The spot in the yard was dead, moss covered. The tree was making sure it got every nutrient in the soil.
Both the customer & I were amazed at how
well this sandbox came out. It changed the whole feel of his property. He soon
had a paved driveway, railroad spikes around a couple trees. A B-B-Q
grill, wooden swing, sprinkler system and a few other toys and turned his yard
from dreaded, to envied. Even when a severely harsh summer with
drought, disease
& insects
had hit, he followed my
simple after care instructions and ALWAYS had a thick, full carpet like
lawn.
I took these photos for fun. Grass growing in the street, on a steel sewer cover, and the wind blew seed and fertilizer in a space between my old van's windshield weather strip and steel surrounding the hood. I noticed the grass growing, ripped some out, then said, "oh, I gotta get a plc of this before tearing any more out.
My point is this. Make soil conditions good for growing grass and plants and it is pretty hard to stop it from growing. If you have a hard time growing grass, you have SERIOUS soil problems. No 2 ways bout it.

Soil analysis equipment for mind stumping problems, which are rare. I love these pics of growing grass on a piece of steel. I used about a half inch of good organic soil and within 4 weeks, I was giving it "haircuts". When I was first starting out, I would bring it along and show it to prospective clients. I don't know for sure, but I think it helped land some of those early jobs that started things really moving.
